JACKSONVILLE, FL – Transaction gateway provider Trove and Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN), a leading worldwide provider of payment technology and software solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to elevate payment acceptance capabilities across the unattended retail industry. This collaboration will enable vending operators and unattended retail locations to accept a wide range of open and closed loop payment tenders in a single terminal.
The partnership combines Trove’s closed loop processing solutions with Global Payments' industry-leading bankcard acceptance capabilities to create an end-to-end service that addresses the evolving needs of the self-service retail market. With a single, low-cost terminal, customers can now accept virtually all types of bankcard payments as well as closed loop credentials from a wide range of campus, corporate, healthcare and other private account issuers. Trove’s gateway can support acceptance of campus meal plan accounts for all transaction types, including meal equivalency and meal exchange functionality. The solution is compatible with cloud-based retail systems and MDB standard machines. Trove Gateway is compatible with the major transaction systems used by US colleges and universities and with most closed loop systems for corporate locations and healthcare facilities.
